Vishnevsky's ointment, which is properly called "Vishnevsky's balsamic liniment" (Lat.: Linimentum balsamicum Wishnevsky), was invented by a Russian surgeon in 1927 as a remedy with an irritant effect. Application of the ointment provides blood flow to the tissues, which should stimulate regeneration. During World War II, this antiseptic helped save hundreds of thousands of lives.

Vishnevsky ointment is recommended for healing fresh wounds on the skin. It is also good for treating fungal nail diseases.

Active substance: birch tar 3.0 %; bismuth tribromphenolate and bismuth oxide complex (Xeroform) 3.0 %.
Excipients: Colloidal silicon dioxide - 5.0 %; common castor oil - 89.0 %.

Application: Apply 2-3 times a day with a thin layer on the affected skin areas or apply a bandage with 5-6 layers of gauze soaked in the preparation. Fix the dressing, change it once in 2-3 days. Dressings should be applied until the infected skin area is completely cleaned. Duration of the course of treatment - from 6 to 20 days.

Attention: for external use only!

Contraindications: do not use to treat festering wounds.
