The "Mirror" Phenomenon as a Manifestation of the "Law of Attraction"

A Parable
"Long ago, there lived a great shah. His palace was filled with many marvelous and wondrous things. Among its many curiosities was a hall where the walls, ceiling, doors, and even the floor were entirely made of mirrors. Moreover, the walls of this hall were designed to create an extraordinary, amplifying echo.
One day, a dog ran into the hall and froze in amazement—an entire pack of dogs surrounded it from all sides, above and below. Just in case, the dog bared its teeth—and all the reflections did the same. Terrified, the dog began barking desperately—the echo repeated its barks and amplified them many times over. The louder the dog barked, the louder the echo grew. The dog darted back and forth, snapping at the air—its reflections darted around too, snarling and biting.
By morning, the servants found the poor creature lifeless, surrounded by millions of reflections of its own dead body. There was no one in the hall who could have truly harmed it. The dog had died fighting its own reflections."
Introduction
The Universe operates on the principle of reflection: our thoughts, emotions, and actions return to us like an echo in the mountains or an image in a mirror. This phenomenon, known as the "Mirror Effect," is one of the key manifestations of the Law of Attraction, which states: "Like attracts like."
The parable of the dog in the mirrored hall is a vivid illustration of how our inner states shape our external reality.
The Law of Attraction and the "Mirror" Principle
According to the Law of Attraction, the world reflects back to us what we project. If a person radiates fear, aggression, or distrust, they will encounter hostility in the world around them. But if they emit love, kindness, and openness, the world responds in kind.
In the parable, the dog saw its reflections and reacted with aggression—prompting the "other dogs" to respond the same way. The angrier it became, the fiercer its reflections grew. In the end, it did not die from any real threat but from its own perception.
How the "Mirror" Phenomenon Works in Life
* Emotions and Reactions
If someone constantly faces criticism, perhaps they themselves are quick to judge others. If they are surrounded by betrayal, they should ask themselves: "Do I live in fear of betrayal?"
Environment
The people around us reflect our inner beliefs. Kind, supportive individuals are drawn to those who radiate positivity.
Events
Negative situations often arise in response to internal blocks, fears, or pessimistic expectations.
How to Change the Reflection?
* Become Aware of Your Reactions
Before blaming the world, ask yourself: "What within me attracted this situation?"
Shift Your Inner State
If you wish to see more kindness, start with yourself—express genuine warmth, gratitude, and love.
Release Control
The dog in the parable could have simply wagged its tail—and its reflections would have responded with friendliness. Sometimes, all it takes is a shift in attitude to transform your entire reality.
Conclusion
Life is a vast hall of mirrors where every action, word, and thought returns to us. The "Mirror" phenomenon reminds us: we are not victims of circumstance but the creators of our own reality.
Like the dog in the parable, we have a choice—to fight our reflections or to change ourselves so that the world responds with harmony.
